
Born in Verona in 1974, he graduated in Law from the University of Trento in 1998 and became a licensed lawyer. At the same time, he studied piano and flute.
In 2008, he was appointed Casting Manager at the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, collaborating with world-renowned artists such as Claudio Abbado, Riccardo Muti, Seiji Ozawa, Daniele Gatti, and Zubin Mehta, with whom he developed a strong partnership in casting. In 2012, he also assumed the role of Artistic Secretary at the theater.
Since 2015, he has served as artistic consultant for the Teatro Lirico of Cagliari and the Teatro Regio of Parma, where in 2017 he was appointed Head of Artistic Programming. He organizes and selects candidates for the “Voci Verdiane” singing competition in Busseto, and from 2017 to 2022 he directed the “Nuova Accademia Verdiana” for young artists, as well as leading the Children’s Choir School, establishing the first children’s choir at Teatro Regio di Parma.
Since January 2023, he has been Artistic Director of the Teatro Regio of Turin. Under his leadership, the Italian Music Critics Association awarded him two Abbiati Prizes for Best Production and Special Recognition during the 2023/2024 and 2024/2025 seasons.
